She leaves behind three daughters, Donna Thomas of Centerville, MA, Diane Papagno and her husband Daniel of Sterling, MA, and Eleanor Lyons and her husband Peter of Portsmouth, RI; and a daughter-in-law (wife of her late son Rick), Christine Thomas of South Yarmouth, MA; nine grandchildren, Kim Burnieika and her husband Tom of Centerville, MA, Kristen Buttrick and her husband David of Sandwich, MA, Stacy Lane and her husband Matthew of Sterling, MA, Daniel Papagno and his wife Tracy of Sterling, MA, Adam Lyons of Wilbraham, MA, Andrew Lyons and his wife Amanda of Portsmouth, RI, Alison Coburn and her husband Jason of Holden, MA, Derek Thomas of South Yarmouth, and Kevin Thomas of South Yarmouth. Rose grew up in East Boston, MA, the daughter of Italian immigrants, Eugenio and Elena (Pelosi) Capasso. After graduating high school, she attended art school to pursue her love of drawing and painting. She and Dick met when he was stationed at the Watertown Arsenal as a Medic with the US Army and their amazing, story-book love began. They set the most beautiful example of unconditional love for their family during their 68 year marriage until his death in 2016. Rose loved life, art, cooking the most amazing Italian food, the Boston Red Sox, and most of all her family, but there is no place she would rather be than in the loving arms of her beloved husband.

A private service will be held at the Bourne National Cemetery.
