Obituary for Earl S Cogswell
Earl S. Cogswell of Wareham Mass passed away unexpectedly at Beth Israel Deaconess hospital in Boston at the age of 75. Born in Boston, the son of the late William R. Cogswell and Faye Madeline (Bourgeois) Cogswell, Earl was one of 11 children.
Earl was known for his sense of humor and helping out anyone he could. He also had a great imagination and enjoyed telling stories of the past. He enjoyed doing woodworking and gardening. He enjoyed the company of his kids and grandchildren.
He was married to the late Rita (Briggs) Cogswell. Earl is survived by his fiancé, Barbara Alander, of Wareham. He leaves behind his 7 children; Earl and wife Debbie Cogswell of Scituate, James Cogswell, daughter Laura and husband Sean Crowley of Whitman, Kim Kennedy of Quincy. He also leaves his son Steven “Jay” Cogswell of Halifax, daughter Kelly and husband John Moore of Plymouth and Jennifer Cogswell and partner James Cleaves of Scituate. Earl leaves 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved niece, Kathy. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Cogswell and his great grandsons, twins, Carter and Caleb Spencer.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 26th from 4-7 pm. Burial will be private.
