Obituary for John Reed Cadman

Cadman, John Reed, age 85, passed away after a long battle from Alzheimer’s and cancer on February 18, 2019 at Oak Hill Healthcare in Middleboro, MA under the care of Beacon Hospice and Veteran’s Services. He was born in Plymouth, the son of the late Lucy (Reed) and John O. Cadman. He was the beloved husband of Cathie (Suk) Cadman.
John graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1952. He served in the military, in the US Army, serving in the Korean War from 1952-1956. He also volunteered as a Firefighter in Manomet, MA for 20 years from 1958-1978. He was employed by Commonwealth Electric from 30 years from 1958-1988. As a lineman/foreman. John was a motorcycle enthusiast. He also enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with his family.
John was the father of Elona Cadman of New York, Michelle (Cadman) Pedersen and her husband, Stuart Pedersen of Manomet, MA. He was the step-father of Tanya Ferrante and her husband John Ferrante of Plymouth, MA. He was the loving grandfather of Emily Gill of NY, Erica and Caroline Pedersen of Manomet, MA and Christopher and Nicholas Ferrante of Plymouth, MA as well as his niece, Karen Guilmette Egerton. He was preceded in death by his son, John E. Cadman, formerly of Sandwich, MA as well as his sister Marion Rebecca (Cadman) Tarleton.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 23rd from 10-11 am. Burial will immediately follow at Manomet Cemetery, White Horse Road, Plymouth.
