Obituary for Edith May MacGregor

Edith M. (Cashin) MacGregor, 101, of Sandwich MA died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 14, 2019. She was born in Somerville, MA, the daughter of Leroy and Cynthia (Curran) Cashin.
Edith was a life-long active church member, committed to sharing and living her faith through teaching Sunday school, supporting missions, singing in the choir and serving on committees. She lived a life of service and caregiving and was devoted to her family. As an avid reader, seamstress, knitter, and gardener, Edith created a warm and welcoming home. Her visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren gave her great joy.
She is survived by her sister, Joan C. Metcalf; her children, Scott W. MacGregor and his wife Louise, Marcia L. Duncan and her husband Steve, Cynthia A. Montalvo and her husband Ralph; nine grandchildren, Dawn Harrell (who sadly passed away one week later on April 21) Marc Montalvo, Heidi Duncan, Kirsi Bergeron, Karis Schumacher, Kimberly Duncan, Stephanie Duncan, Ian MacGregor and Merin MacDonald; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Otis W. MacGregor and younger siblings, Edgar L. Cashin, Emily M. Vigneau, and Leroy E. Cashin Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Covenant Community Church, 360 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd., East Sandwich, MA 02537 on Saturday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Program of Covenant Community Church. www.sandwichcovenantchurch.org/
