David Mason Biggs born in Providence. Rhode Island on March 27 1948
and passed away unexpectedly on Dec 1 2018 at his home In Acushnet ,
Mass. Son of the late Ruth A Biggs (Fay)and Ernest Mason Biggs. David
leaves behind a daughter Arlee J. Biggs. Sisters Marcia R Whalen,
Carolyn R. Giramma and brother’s Alan K Biggs , Steven A. Biggs.and
step brother Robert Greene. Preceded in death Step sister, Lois
Hammett. He leaves behind a large extended family. David graduated
from Cedar Cliff high school, Camp Hill, Pa. in 1966. David was a
Sargent in the Air Force from 1966 to 1972. While serving in the Air
Force David was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War.
David was a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle PA. and UMass Dartmouth.
David worked in the office of George Goodling and the Pa state senate
for John Hopper. He was the regional director for encyclopedia
Brittanica. While living in Mass he was the owner of Biggs- Partners
and you, last year David worked In the real estate industry. Most
recently David was the assistant director on the board for PACE in New
Bedford, Mass. a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club
in New Bedford, Mass .
Services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in
Bourne, Massachusetts on January 18, 2019 @ 11:30am. A celebration of
life will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, New Bedford, Mass. on
March 23, 2019 @ 11am.
