Obituary for Cary Revere

BARNSTABLE, MA – Cary Kimbark Revere passed away peacefully on February 24, 2019, after a long period of
declining health. Cary was born December 3, 1930 in Winnetka, IL, to Helen Gould Kimbark and Harry Rice
Kimbark.
As a child, Cary spent summers in Wianno, MA. She met Paul Revere Jr., her husband of over 59 years, while skiing in Maine. They raised their family in Acton, MA until 1972 when they moved to Barnstable.
Cary’s second home was Sugarloaf, ME. She loved to ski. While others fled to the warmth of Florida and points
south, Cary and Paul headed north, with their sled dog, to their winter wonderland.

Cary was sole proprietor of “Cary Creations” and “Red Ribbon Antiques”. She was a member of
the Cape Cod Glass Club and Cape Cod Antique Dealers Association. Cary was a member of the Barnstable Yacht Club, The Beach Club, and the Osterville Garden Club. She was the class reporter for her alma mater, Western College, Oxford, Ohio and was recognized with the Alumunae Service Award in 2013.

She is survived by her husband Paul Revere Jr., her daughter Avery Revere, her son Paul Revere III and his wife Stasia Anne Orr Revere, and her two grandchildren Kira Anne Revere and Paul Revere IV. She is also survived by her sister Helen Kimbark Boocock and her brother-in-law Roger Brett Boocock, and her nieces, Dana Crowell, Sarah Beyreis, and Melissa Soderberg.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Church (where she and Paul were married in 1959), Osterville, MA on March 8th, 2019 @ 11am.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a contribution in her honor to: Friends of Barnstable Harbor, PO Box 248, Barnstable, MA 02630, as Cary spent many days of her life on the harbor
and its shores.
